Dear Mr. Randy Cobb:

My name is Jennifer Owens.  I teach first grade at W.A. Porter Elementary.  The teachers at W.A. Porter are committed to providing an excellent all around education for children and believe that hands-on experiences help us accomplish that goal.   Last year two of your students, Jake Moyer and Robert Morris, came to Porter during our study of Texas and cowboys.  They did an excellent job presenting information on bull riders.  The gentlemen brought tools of the trade and pictures of themselves riding bulls.  They also answered questions and discussed the importance of making good grades.  The children left the school that day wanting to be cowboys.  I am requesting that you allow Jake and Robert to leave school early on Friday, March 9, 2007 to come give the presentation to our first grade students at 2:00 p.m.  Please let me know if this time and date are convenient.
