The Events

Rodeo events are divided into two categories:
  • those which are scored by a judge -- the roughstock events of bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding;
  • those which are timed by speed  -- cowgirls barrel racing, steer wrestling and the roping contests.
These events are described below, but even these descriptions cannot provide
the true feeling . . . the emotion . . .of the rodeo.
